ABOUT:
Mount Rundle, or to use its correct Cree name, Waskahigan Watchi, is an iconic peak rising up 2,984 metres between Banff and Canmore in Banff National Park. Running 12 kilometres along the ridge, it is so hefty a mountain that it could easily be designated as its own range. Its distinctive rocks are of the Rundle thrust sheet, which sit atop the Early Cretaceous Mist Mountain Formation.
